the sequence is tied to the GoN - i was very aware of the numerical sequences of it that even, and i have been since i was first introduced to it. here's some more of the pattern for you to consider; keep in mind (overall) that in this sequence, subtractions lead to values of 9 and additions lead to values of 10/1:

59 + 23 = 82 :: 8 x 2 = 16

59 + 14 = 73 :: 7 x 3 = 21

59 + 5 = 64 :: 6 x 4 = 24

23 + 14 = 37 :: 3 x 7 = 21

23 + 5 = 28 :: 2 x 8 = 16

14 = 5 = 19 :: 1 x 9 = 9

see the pattern? 9 16 21 24 21 16 ...

i seem to remember alex threw out the first value b/c it didnt' follow sequence and, once omitted, lent a balance to the equation. here's the problem with omitting it: it cause the pattern to be self-terminating. It would then be perfect and therefore a form of death. this equation is a Living Equation. it's a form of life which we are able to grasp through as numbers. it's unbalanced by design, so that there is momentum and inertia to carry it into the next cycle. the GoN is the same way; 13 to -12. if it were to be 'complete' it would reach a state of perfection where it would not be useful for 'real world' endeavours. but i digress - there's still more....

so i wondered where the next phase would begin - likely continuing with the 'missing' 9, so i tried to figure out what numbers would go into creating it.

the number in question is 91,so i started by subtracting all the sequence numbers from it to find the phantom value:

91 - 59 = 32

91 - 23 = 68

91 - 14 = 77

91 - 5 = 86

if we add these results

3 + 2 = 5

6 + 8 = 14 = Three

7 + 7 = 14 = Five

8 + 6 = 14 = Nine

GoN

i'm a little undecided on where that 5 could be leading... "I" perhaps? I could be seen as 1, but i'm not sure that's entirely relevant.

moreover, the important part is that the 'missing' numbers would seem to be 32. 32 + 59 = 91. and this follows that 23 = 59 equation - just 'invert' the 23, which i highly acceptable if you think of trying to run into the next part of the sequence. water reverses spin in spiral motion, sonoluminescence exhibits similar qualities, as in my last email - and i have more on this nature of inversion if you are further interested.
if we invert both numbers be get the following sequences:

95 - 41 = 54 = 9

95 - 32 = 63 = 9

95 - 5 = 90 = 9

41 - 32 = 9 = 9

41 - 5 = 36 = 9

32 - 5 = 27 = 9

again the nines, and there tens about as well....

95 + 41 = 136 = 10

95 + 32 = 127 = 10

95 + 5 = 100 = 10

41 + 32 = 73 = 10

41 + 5 = 46 = 10

32 + 5 = 37 = 10

now if we try to take this series of 10s we find a bit of an aberration. the 'bottom half' appears to follow suit well:

41 + 32 = 73 :: 7 x 3 = 21

41 + 5 = 46 :: 4 x 6 = 24

32 + 5 = 37 :: 3 x 7 = 21

but the 'top half' now exceed 100 after addition, and numbers seem to become muddled:

95 + 41 = 136 :: 1 x 3 x 6 = 18

95 + 32 = 127 :: 1 x 2 x 7 = 14

95 + 5 = 100 :: 1 x 0 x 0 = 0

but i thin the 3 numbers is 'throwing it off', 3 digit numbers need to be addressed differently than 2 digit numbers. i'm not sure how, yet, so if you have any insights, i'd appreciate it.

now - however, if we reverse 23 and 14 to be 32 and 41 we have a very interesting progression:

59 + 41 = 100 = 10

59 + 32 = 91 = 10

59 + 5 = 64 = 10

41 + 32 = 73 = 10

41 + 5 = 46 = 10

32 + 5 = 37 = 10

and of course our 9s:

59 - 41 = 18 = 9

59 - 32 = 27 = 9

59 - 5 = 54 = 9

41 - 32 = 9 = 9

41 - 5 = 36 = 9

32 - 5 = 27 = 9

but lets look at that sequence of 10s again, in case you didn't do the math in your head already:

59 + 41 = 100 :: 1 x 0 x 0 = 0

59 + 32 = 91 :: 9 x 1 = 9

59 + 5 = 64 :: 6 x 4 = 24

41 + 32 = 73 :: 7 x 3 = 21

41 + 5 = 46 :: 4 x 6 = 24

32 + 5 = 37 :: 3 x 7 = 21

ah... so close, if only the one 24 was a 16..... still, following a pattern and it returns to 0. GoN

inverting the other two values we get 95 out of 59, and 5 out of 5. i'd thought to try something else with the five, since it's single-digit i'm not sure if it follows the same 'rules' as do double-digit numbers.

95 + 23 = 118 :: 1 x 1 x 8 = 8

95 + 14 = 109 :: 1 x 0 x 9 = 9

95 + 5 = 100 :: 1 x 0 x 0 = 0

23 + 14 = 37 :: 3 x 7 = 21

23 + 5 = 28 :: 2 x 8 = 16

14 + 5 = 19 :: 1 x 9 = 9

here again is the beginning of the sequence, but i question how to deal with the 3 digit numbers. still... following in suit. here's my basic premise: this is a living and growing sequence. one series of numbers will grow into the next and there is no end to how it will/can grow. but each series in 'intentionally' unbalanced so that it can lead into the next series, which is similarly unbalanced so that i can lead elsewhere too. but there's a bit more for informational purposes....

there was also some interesting relations that i dug up when adding more that two numbers:

59 + 23 + 14 = 96 = (12 x 8)

59 + 23 + 5 = 87 = (12 x 7) + 3

59 + 14 + 5 = 78 = (12 x 6) + 6

23 + 14 + 5 = 42 = (12 x 3) + 6

and the inversions

95 + 32 + 41 = 168 = (12 x 14)

95 + 41 + 5 = 141 = (12 x 11) + 9

95 + 32 + 5 = 132 = (12 x 11)

32 + 41 + 5 = 78 = (12 x 6) + 6

and adding all of them was rather interesting, too (visually)

59 + 14 + 5 + 23 = 101

reversing them produces

95 + 32 + 41 + 5 = 173

both of which, in a way, reduce to 11 - but this is not as sound a reduction compared to the rest of the equation/pattern. still, the relations to 11 and 22 make it notable.

speaking of 9's, this all brought back the memory of a dream i once had when i was much younger. in it i was approached by a mage-of-sorts who talked to me a great deal about sorcery and magick words/language. he told me the word "9nee" to this day i've never figured out it's exact nature, but at the time it gave me access to channelling focused energy. on Saturday some illumination into the import of it was given to me, though the exact details elude me for the moment. it has something to do with tying numbers to letter and other 'juxtapositions'. i realized it when a friend mentioned a folk singer by the name of Utah Phillips and i thought it was funny that his named followed the format "State, Last Name" and that somehow led to other juxtapositions and then to numbers and letters, but i dont' remember what the trigger was that led me to numbers and letters.

and the last babble from the rabble:

thee i = 23 = zachary jones

charles = 32

zachary charles Stark Jones = 2-32-3

zachary = 16 = the eye

jones = 7 = of = eye

zachary Stark Jones = the eye of

ov the eye know = 0
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
59 = 14 = 5 = 23

23 = 59

this is the number of magick for me - it's a key into real world manifestations and manipulations. i turned a blanket that was wrapped around me inside out by just thinking about the sublime resonance of 23 = 59 (on sat evening). i changed CD that were in the CD player by realizing the quantum state they could be in if i simply confused everyone else in the room. i manifest myself in a tarot reading that two friends had been given one day prior. through meditation on that number i could read the thoughts on anyone in the room or hear and see the events in neighboring houses. i need to test it additionally and see if it is primarily a point of focus for me that worked well b/c of the state i was in, and discover how accessible i can make it to our 'primary physical attention' the equation is also multi staged (in it's completeness). 2 steps, the 4 steps. 4 clockwise turns and 2 counter-clockwise to return the point of origin. which seems to, roughly at least, follow the movement of water in a spiral. it is also 2 & 4, or 24 - which you know i find significant to me. there are also 6 stages in this equation, again a factor of 24 - and also my birthday: 6/12. placing me as a gemini, which is duality is so paramount to me. 6 doubles to 12 and 12 doubles to 24.

-------------------------------------------------

and while we're on the subject

59 - 14 = 45

45 = 5 x 9

4 + 5 = 9

14 - 5 = 9

23 - 14 = 9

3 ^ 2 = 9

59 - 23 = 36

36 = 3 x 12

23 - 5 = 18

1 + 8 = 9

6 + 6 + 6 = 18

and lest we forget....

5 + 23 = 28 = 10

14 = 5 = 19 = 10

59 + 5 = 64 = 10 (64 hexagrams, and doubled inversion of 23)

59 + 14 = 73 = 10

59 + 23 = 82 = 10

23 + 14 = 37 = 10

and to make a bit better sense of the first series.....

59 - 14 = 45 = 9

23 - 5 = 18 = 9

59 - 5 = 54 = 9

23 - 14 = 9

59 - 23 = 36 = 9

14 - 5 = 9

and on that 9 series let's remember:

45 = 5 x 9

18 = 2 x 9

54 = 6 x 9

9 = 1 x 9

36 = 4 x 9

9 = 1 x 9

and of the 10 series:

half (3) of the results are prime numbers: 19 73 37

of the other half:

all are divisible by 2

one is 1 step away from primality: 82 = 2 x 41

one is 2 steps away from primality: 28 = 2 x 2 x 7

and the other is a pure factor of 2. 2 ^ 6 actually: 64

there's 6 combinations to each first-level equation - and of course 10 = 1. 10, the number just 'after' 9 - yet outside of the base10 number series. 10: the end of one series and the beginning of another. this is the inversion point (in sonoluminescence, spiral motion, electromagnetic fields, etc) where 1 & 9, or 10 & 9, revolve around 0. the harmony of married opposites.

-------------------------------------------------

reversing 14:

59 + 41 = 100 = 0

59 + 23 = 82 = 16

59 + 5 = 64 = 24

41 + 23 = 64 = 24

41 + 5 = 46 = 24

23 + 5 = 28 = 16

interesting - what if we try both 23 and 14:

59 + 41 = 100 = 0

59 + 32 = 91 = 9

59 + 5 = 64 = 24

41 + 32 = 73 = 21

41 + 5 = 46 = 24

32 + 5 = 37 = 21

too much? not sure.... i'm also not convinced of how, if at all, 59 or 5 should be reversed. either they can't be or have a special way of being transformed. but, what if we just reverse 23

59 + 32 = 91 = 9

59 + 14 = 73 = 21

59 + 5 = 64 = 24

32 + 14 = 46 = 24

32 + 5 = 37 = 21

14 + 5 = 19 = 9

woo.... that did neat things. lets break this out by operation - it gets better (hope you're email program formats this correctly)

+ - * / 59 + 32 = 91 = 9 8 9 9

59 + 14 = 73 = 21 4 21 2 1/3

59 + 5 = 64 = 24 2 24 1 1/2

32 + 14 = 46 = 24 -2 24 2/3

32 + 5 = 37 = 21 -4 21 3/7

14 + 5 = 19 = 9 -8 9 1/9

some similar patterns emerge when you look at some of the other factorings as well. i'm not sure about the nature of this last series, tho. again, it falls in with my 'perhaps too perfect' line of thought. it seems very stable and balanced, but is this 'what we want'? i need to think on it all more, but it's getting to the point where i need a better system of organizing all the factors i've run through. i think there's bigger patterns here but the easiest(?) way to hold them all in my head is good enthenogens/psychedelics. next weekend, likely, since i'm still working a 9-5 job and that probably won't change in the next 4 months. lucky in this case The Man is one of my better friends

i think much of the 'trick' revolves around the computation of 3 digit numbers, or figuring out a way of avoiding them. i'd also though that perhaps result values from series just computed may need to be incorporated. but this quickly runs into so many permutations that doing it on paper would not really be an option. perhaps i can write up a little app that will compute and plot the values graphically.
perhaps the 3 digit numbers need to be compressed into 2 digit numbers. i'm looking now at the way their laid out. if you compressed the first 2 digits, the previous patterns re-emerge

136 = 46 = 10 :: 24

127 = 37 = 10 :: 21

118 = 28 = 10 :: 16

109 = 19 = 10 :: 9

we'll see..... all for later, perhaps. i'm a bit close what i'm investigating at the moment. i need to stand back before i become too near-sighted on the issue and lose the original perspective i began with. maybe i'll write a trip report for fri/sat.... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 23 = 59

2 + 3 + 5 = 10

9 = 9

there's the 9 & 10 pattern again - in plain sight. and of course

2 + 3 + 5 + 9 = 19 = 10 by addition and = 9 by multiplication.

and lest we forget:

3 - 2 = 1 5 - 3 = 2 9 - 5 = 4

12 and 24 which both seem to play large roles in the pattern. and it syncs up with the 8, 4, 2, -2, -4, -8 sequence of the balanced set yesterday

59 + 32 = 91 = 9 8 9

59 + 14 = 73 = 21 4 2 1/3

59 + 5 = 64 = 24 2 1 1/2

32 + 14 = 46 = 24 -2 2/3

32 + 5 = 37 = 21 -4 3/7

14 + 5 = 19 = 9 -8 1/9

this is all following similar lines to the pattern that Alex was talking about before. Alex, if you are reading, what similarities do you see between this equation and the pattern that you channeled (?)

what is the role of division in such matters? things don't take well to division, both numerically and conceptually. it seems like every time the concept of division arises it is always followed by the notion of balance and reunion/making whole again. Think Dark Crystal, think Star Wars, etc.... 'opposites attract'. These opposites are both part of the same whole that we draw a distinction between purely because of perspective. these two sides are not separate, and only become separated because our ignorance draws a line where there would not normally be one. the struggle for balance is one within us, not one of the universe and nature. The World At Larger is in a state of balance - we as conscious entities bring change because we cause imbalance through perspective, but the imbalance is in ourselves.
are there other mathematical operations that we're not paying attention to besides addition, subtractions, multiplication and division? and isn't multiplication just a special function of addition anyway? perhaps if we thought of this more in an energetic sense... can electromagnetic principals be thought of as operations and can they be applied to math and numbers?
